January 1st has always been the day I take a look at what I had accomplished in the last year and what I need to do to move forward with my photography and business.

Very happy with the progress on my Macro Photo Club and the growth in the membership of close to 1,100 members.  I have over 150 instructional videos and my plan for 2019 is to keep adding more videos.  It's a great value for a lifetime membership of only $79.

For those who are not interested in joining the macro photo club online for the $79, I will be offering a few individual videos for sale on macro photography, and making money with photography.

I have always been impressed with the many images I've seen of snowflakes. So I may finally try and capture a few nice images of snowflakes this winter. I don't think it is all that easy, but I'll give it a try.

In the next few days I will be posting the dates, location, and speaker lineup for my fifth annual Macro Photo Conference.  I have some great speakers and already can't wait for it to happen.

Many speaking engagements and workshops are already scheduled with more to come.  I will be speaking for the first time at the Nature Photography Weekend Event at Grandfather Mountain in Linville, North Carolina. Dates, May 31st thru June 2nd.

The following weekend I am excited to announce this new Frog and Reptile Workshop with my good friend Mike Matthews and his amazing collection of critters. There will be between 30-40 live animals set up in natural settings to capture some amazing macro photos. You would have to travel to five different continents, and over ten countries to see this variety of animals.

At the end of June I will be presenting a five day program for the Madeline Island School of the Arts. Madeline Island is in the Lake Superior waters above Wisconsin. Check out The Macro World of Madeline Island

I will be running a workshop in August at Longwood Gardens for the Flower and Garden Club of America.

Workshops for winter/spring are, Bowling Green, KY (Sold Out), Des Moine, Iowa - Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina and plans for a fall workshop in Michigan and Connecticut, and maybe New jersey.

I have camera club appearances lined up in, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and South Carolina, and more to come.

Only unpleasant thing I have to start doing on January 1st, is work on putting all the figures together to file my business taxes for 2018. Oh well can't have fun all the time.

Hope we meet up somewhere on the trail in 2019.
